This episode is dedicated to our nation's Founding Father - Benjamin Franklin, whose wisdom, measured diplomacy and dedication to liberty helped shape the foundations of the American Constitutional Republic. He is one of only six men to sign both the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution. At the close of the Constitutional convention in 1787, Franklin was asked what kind of government had been created? He replied, "A republic, madam - if you can keep it."
